Die britische Schauspielerin. Sie spielte auf der Bühne u. a. in "Miranda" (1987), "The Deep Blue Sea" (1988), "The Merry Wives of Windsor" (1990), "Glyn and It" (1994), "Mrs Warren's Profession" (1997), "Good Grief" (1998), "Star Quality" (2001). Bekannt wurde sie vor allem durch das Fernsehen, Rollen u. a. in: "The Good Life" (1974-77), "To the Manor Born" (1979-81), "What's my Line?" (1988), "Law and Disorder" (1994), "Next of Kin, Coming Home" (1999). Für ihre Arbeit wurde sie mit vielen Auszeichnungen geehrt, u. a. war sie 1978 bis 1979 BBC TV Personality of the Year, 1979 bis 1982 TV Female Personality (Daily Express).
